1. Diversity and Inclusion: Toward a racially just workplace

This article is published on November 14, 2019, by Laura Morgan Roberts and Anthony J. Mayo. This article is about the achievements of black people and those people deserve equal opportunities as others. this article is made from the words of Booker T. Washington, who is an educator, author, activist, and presidential adviser. he wrote words a long time ago to encourage American- African compatriots. He said that it is good to shine in bad odds but he hopes for his black people to get more paths for success.

According to the article, companies are more interested in diversity now and investing in this. Because they think more corporate leaders make good business sense. however, there is a good number of black billionaires and CEO, those people are stood in good ranks. On the other side, according to the qualitative and quantitative data African people still find difficulties as compared to other minorities. There are fewer chances to be hired, developed, and promoted. The article shows several data from the companies. In the U.S. workforce, there is 12% of black people are working and it is near to the representation of the general population which is 13.4%. From the researches, the gap of wealth for black families and other people is huge, as there are predictions that the median wealth of white people will be increase to $100,000 by the year 2050, but for the black families, it is still $0 by 2050. In the US, there are only 8% black managers and only 3.8% are CEO s

Overall, the authors hope that the companies and businesses should know about the black experience, they are good to embrace the company's policies and help to keep the levels and standards up. they deserve equality just like others, but there is not only black people, who are under the shadow because there are many underrepresented groups and communities. government policies can help to avoid these situations and companies can also provide chances to other communities and hype their talent.
